HEARTS OF OAK STRIKER SELASSIE BAKAI TERMINATES CONTRACT WITH THE CLUB

Hearts of Oak and former Black Satellites striker Selassie Bakai has today had an agreement with the club to terminate his contract due to some personal reasons both the club and player don’t want to disclose to the public. Selassie joined Hearts from Sam Juvenile club in 2017. He initially joined the clubs junior side 'Aurorras' and was promoted in just after four months to the senior side and the first team regular by the recommendation of then coach Seth Hoffman. Selassie didn’t keep too long to make his senior team debut after Coach Sergio Traguil gave the young chap a chance and after then the striker has continue to be an integral part of the team and scoring a lot of goals to his credit. He then got called into the Ghana National Black Satellites team who went to the Youth AFCON 2018 recently but Selassie wasn't present due to an injury he sustained during the final preparation. The club released a press statement that reads ‘The Hearts of Oak management has mutually terminated the contract o striker Selassie Bakai. We thank him for his professional conduct during his stay with the club and wishes him well for the future’. In an exclusive with Modernweb.com, Selassie was asked many questions but he didn't want to go into details of his contract termination but made it short by saying 'It was just by personal reasons and I think that was the best decision for me and I decided it myself before discussing with the club' Selassie said. Modernweb.com asked him if he had any issues with the club or coaching staff and he continued to answer ' I don’t really have problems but I just feel I have to move on, I was one of Kim Grants special boys and am cool with him I went to the coach personally to discuss about my future in the team and what he told me didn’t sound well so I had to act quick and move on’. The striker added he is in talk with some other teams but wouldn't like to disclose it now but promise he will let us know when everything is done successful.
